Fourth: Pay the "Salamah" portal fees for the civil defense permit or license.

Method for Electronically Renewing a Civil Defense License for Shops

The civil defense license and permit must be renewed every year in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. To obtain civil defense approval for license and permit renewal, the beneficiary logs into their account on the "Salamah" portal and uploads several documents, the most important of which are:

• Lease contract

• Building permit

• A documented maintenance contract with a safety company approved by the civil defense

The civil defense studies the request and sends its feedback to the client, either approving or rejecting it. In the case of rejection, the client must work on completing the deficiencies that led to the rejection of their request for license and permit approval.

In the case of approval, the civil defense will send a text message to the client containing an electronic code to provide to an approved safety company. To issue the civil defense license and permit, the safety company must upload the maintenance contract electronically via the "Salamah" portal using the same verification code and request number provided to the client.

After completing the request, the civil defense will issue the civil defense license and permit via the "Salamah" portal, and the client must log in to their account and print their license and permit.
